It combines Sonth, Black Pepper, Long Pepper, Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Amla, Mustaka, Vidanga, Green Cardamom, Tejpatta, Clove and Nishoth in a sugar (misri) base. It is traditionally used to support healthy digestion, acidity comfort and a comfortable stomach after meals.

The formula is entirely herbal and contains no minerals or bhasma. Nishoth (Trivrit) has a mild laxative action, so it is best used as directed by a registered Ayurvedic physician. This pack contains 100 gm.

FAQ

Q: What is Avipattikar Churna traditionally used for?

A: It is a classical herbal powder traditionally used to support healthy digestion and comfort after meals, including occasional acidity, heartburn and gas. It is a wellness product and not a treatment for any digestive condition.

Q: What does it contain? Are there minerals in it?

A: It contains Sonth (dried ginger), Black Pepper, Long Pepper, Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Amla, Mustaka (nut grass), Vidanga, Green Cardamom, Tejpatta, Clove and Nishoth (turpeth) with misri (crystallised sugar). It is purely herbal and contains no minerals or bhasma.

Q: Who should take care, and when should I see a doctor?

A: Nishoth has a mild laxative effect, so reduce the dose if you develop loose motions. Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have diabetes (it contains sugar). Persistent acidity, chest pain, black or bloody stools, vomiting blood or unexplained weight loss need prompt medical evaluation. Keep out of reach of children.
