Description

Gufic Zulcer Capsule is a classical Ayurvedic proprietary formulation from Gufic Biosciences Limited, combining Amalaki, Kutki, Jatamansi, Amruta (Guduchi), Lavang, Agastya Patra, Shatpushpa, Vacha and Jyotishmati with a blend of shell- and gem-derived Bhasmas (Shukti, Shankha, Kapardik, Godanti and Praval) and the classical preparations Kamdudha Rasa and Sutshekhar Rasa, traditionally used to support gastric mucosal comfort and digestive wellness.

Dosage

Q: What is Zulcer Capsule used for?

A: It is traditionally used to support the structural and functional comfort of the gastric and duodenal lining, and general digestive wellness.

Q: Does it contain any ingredient that needs caution?

A: Yes. Zulcer Capsule contains Sutshekhar Rasa, a classical Rasashastra preparation that traditionally contains purified mercury and sulphur (Kajjali). It also contains Swarna Maxik Bhasma — despite the name (‘Swarna’ means gold), this is classically a calx of chalcopyrite (copper pyrite), not real gold. It also contains Khurasani Ajwan (Hyoscyamus niger), a plant that is toxic in its raw, unprocessed form. The remaining mineral content — Shukti, Shankha, Kapardik, Godanti and Praval Bhasma — are lower-risk shell- and gem-derived calcium preparations. Given the Sutshekhar Rasa content, this product should only be used at the recommended dosage and under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic physician, and avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Q: Is this a treatment for a stomach ulcer or GORD?

A: No — this is important. This is a traditional wellness supplement for general gastric comfort, not a medical treatment for a diagnosed peptic ulcer, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) or gastritis. An untreated ulcer can bleed or perforate, which is a medical emergency — severe stomach pain, black or bloody stools, or vomiting blood need immediate medical attention, not a herbal supplement.
